LUCINDA CHILDS DANCE COMPANY: DANCE

Lucinda Childs' signature all-evening work from 1979 with music by Philip Glass and the original film set by Sol LeWitt, where the dance company's original dancers are shown in perfect synchronisation with the live dancers on the stage.

'Dance' from 1979 is recognised as a modern masterpiece. The performance forms a synthesis between silence and the minimalism of Lucinda Childs' earlier works, such as Radial Courses, and the dramatic art she prepared with Philip Glass and Robert Wilson in the opera Einstein on the Beach.
