The Salling Foundations consists of two independent foundations: Købmand Herman Sallings Fond and Købmand Ferdinand Sallings Mindefond.

Both foundations are part of Dansk Supermarked and have as purpose to support beneficiary efforts.

In 2012 alone, the foundations donated 220 million DKK.

Through the years, the foundations have donated substantial amounts of money to organizations within culture, church, sports, education and charity.

The foundations primarily support efforts in East Jutland and Aarhus in particular. Both Ferdinand Salling and his son, founder of Dansk Supermarked, Herman Salling were born here. However, the foundations also support efforts all over the country. The deciding factor is that the efforts are of high quality and create unique possibilities or opportunities for the citizens.
