Den Gamle By presents an extraordinary exhibition of 20th century Danish silver jewellery selected from 950 items in the unique Marion and Jörg Schwandt collection.

The exhibition provides a comprehensive picture of the national and international trends of the 20th century that influenced the art of Danish jewellers and helped make Denmark and Danish applied arts famous across the world. Celebrated silversmiths and jewellery designers, Mogens Ballin, Thorvald Bindesbøll, Kay Bojesen, Nanna Ditzel, Bent Exner, Bent Knudsen, Henning Koppel, Svend Weihrauch, and Georg Jensen, among others, are all represented by their iconic works.

The Marion and Jörg Schwandt Jewellery Collection, Berlin, was built up over a period of 40 years of sustained and inspired collecting.
