The harbour of Hvide Sande, the gateway to the North Sea, forms the setting when European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 celebrates the official finale in Hvide Sande on December 9th.
The event begins at 5 PM and a 30-minutes show will unfold in the harbour and at sea.

The show brings forth the collective unity of nature and energy which culminates in an impressive spectacle for the entire family to enjoy. The harbour is drapped in music and enhanced with a dazzling light show, while a mass ensemble of professional and local singers, dancers and drummers will the reflect the energy of our cultural year and send off positive vibrations and cultural fortune towards next year’s European Capitals of Culture: Leeuwarden in Holland and Valletta in Malta.
Prior to the spectacular finale in Hvide Sande, the local trade association, Havnen, will host a festive afternoon from 2 PM in collaboration with the municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern and the tourist office Ringkøbing Fjord Turisme. Besides cultural features and musical warm-up, there will be tents at the harbour. Here you can also meet an abundance of food stands with to-go food and a big selection of warm beverages.
