The Keeper of Small Things

Noticing what the rest of us are quick to overlook, Tove Tendal-Hansen sees a value in all objects, and the stories they hold. Caring for the treasured small things that the lives of others leave behind is her great responsibility.

To visit Tove's home is to meander through a forgotten Denmark, stories and objects otherwise lost or forgotten. Each one is meticulously documented by this remarkable museum curator. In a world of limited shelf lives and diminishing attention spans, while others are watching the mammoths, Tove is collecting the mice.

Aarhus 2017 and the Central Denmark Region present THE BIG LITTLE FILM FESTIVAL, a weekend of films from talented international and local filmmakers showcasing storytelling, documentary, animation, commercial communication and experimentation. The festival is a rolling programme of short formats telling some of the unique stories of place, examine Danish DNA in satirical fashion, demonstrate aesthetics of difference and methodologies of approach.

Line Caught Films and director Emma Sullivan will move beyond the usual and stereotypical to explore and tell surprising stories about what it means to be Scandinavian within a European Context and vice versa. 
These short and mini Nordic documentaries will act as a portrait of community and an investigation of European commonalities. The documentaries from Line Caught Films are Fuur, The Keeper of Small Things and More Fair than the Sun.
