Presented by VIA University College
Experience four fantastic, animated documentary films by international directors who explore contemporary themes and topics through the unique language of animation. The films examine and challenge the encounter between animation and documentary films. The completely controlled and constructed world of animation is used in an exciting and experimental way to test the theoretically objective portrayal of reality commonly undertaken in documentary film-making.
The films produced as part of the AniDox Residency rise to the challenge and merge these two worlds of emotion and reason to create a special encounter and focus on important subjects. AniDox Residency is a fusion and development of Open Workshop, Film Workshop and Artist Residency, and AniDox Lab is an EU MEDIA-supported professional training course and development lab.
The documentary films produced are shown at festivals around the world, including Nordisk Panorama, Dok Leipzig, CPH:DOX, and Aarhus in 2017.
