The future is blue!

Globalisation, climate change, urbanisation, technology and changing demographics are not abstract phenomena.
They affect our cities and landscapes, we can see the changes, and we experience them in our everyday lives. This is also the case in the Central Jutland Region.
The changes manifest themselves concretely and have physical form.

140 students of architecture examine how architecture can seize these changes, affect our surroundings and move us as human beings. How can we cultivate the landscapes of tomorrow and also make them attractive places to live? What will the social housing of the future look like?  What if distance no longer equalled time - how would we then live? Are robots the craftsmen of the future? And how can we build cities that can both grow and become smaller?

You can find the answers at the Architecture Moves exhibition which turns the urban space blue. Aarhus School of Architecture takes over the urban realm and exhibits in full scale (1:1) at the light rail stations, at Nørreport, in The University Park and Vennelyst Parken. Here you can also take part in events in which students present their proposals for ways architecture can have an impact on the challenges that face society.

The exhibition is the culmination of Aarhus School of Architecture's contribution to European Capital of Culture 2017 and is the result of cooperation with international experts and local stakeholders. The exhibition is part of the Aarhus Festival and the international architecture festival Rising Architecture Week.
