An Aarhus 2017 Festival Event
Presented by The Architecture Project, Aarhus 2017 and Central Denmark Region
Daan Roosegarde(NL), Jan Gehl(DK), Rob Adams(AUS), John Thackra(UK) and the architecture collective Raumlabor(DE) are among some of the participants who will share their reflections on future challenges, possibilities and experience in respect of modern society.
Will we need schools in the future? How can rural development benefit from urbanization? How do we design for life in a world in constant change? These are a few of the challenges that we will debate during a week of architecture, where workshops, architecture installations, talks, events in the city is our commen platform.
Architecture plays a key role in contributing the best innovative solutions for future societal challenges. In order to be able to handle these challenges effectively, we must work strategically and ensure that the right conditions and framework are in place. This is what RISING Architecture Week wants to facilitate.
Everyone with an interest in architecture and urban development is invited to participate and contribute actively in RISING 2017 – a challenge-based event for participants across professions, skills and nationalities interested in exploring the possibilities of tomorrow.
