European Capitals of Culture provides a unique opportunity to let art and culture lead the way in building a bridge across Europe.

The theme of Pafos 2017 – Open Air Factory – is not just about the openness of space and the fact that most of the programme will be presented in the magical settings of the Cypriot landscapes and historical venues; it is about tolerance, acceptance, encouragement and the inclusion of different cultures, ideas and beliefs. Throughout the year, Aarhus 2017 will present a number of memorable performances in and around Pafos.

Likewise, Pafos will have a strong presence in our programme with a special focus on gastronomy, cultural heritage and performing arts.
