Visit Herning

Welcome to Herning – the city is known for its many concerts held in BOXEN and its big fairs in MCH, Messecenter Herning. A tour around the Herning area is also a great opportunity to see the beautiful nature around the city. The nature around Præstbjerg Nature Centre, is for an example spectacular, with hilly moorland, oak trees, beautiful sightseeing places, small forests and lakes.

Another must see in the city is Birk, where art, culture, education and business goes hand in hand in one unity. At Birk Centre Park you can experience art in world class, such as the art museum HEART, Herning Museum of Contemporary Art, and Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelts Museum.

You can also explore the five departments at Museum Midtjylland: the Open Air Museum Herning, Textile Forum, Herningsholm Museum, Vester Palsgaard Forest Museum, Klosterlund Museum.
