Visit Dokk1 in Aarhus and experience the exhibition “impAAAct” with new suggestions to future Aarhus, where students from the Aarhus School of Architecture exhibit examples of architecture that challenges what we imagine a city can be.
The students bring brand new concepts on architectural ways that will change the city and create a liveable environment.
At Dokk1, selected models are on display that examine specific urban challenges and look for ‘next practice’ of the physical changes of the city. The exhibition matches European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017’s theme Let’s Rethink.
The themes range from transforming scrap to new green city life; new ways of cleaning polluted water and using the city’s production of energy to create new types of housing that accommodate the rising number of citizens.
You can experience the exhibition until Thursday 1 October.
Four international architect offices: Studio Maks (Rotterdam), Elii: Officina de Arquitectura (Madrid), Astudio (London) and Topotek1 (Berlin), prominent architects from Aarhus, Central Denmark Region and Aarhus Municipality, The Architecture Project and 200 students from the Aarhus School of Architecture have been involved in the process.
