There has just been deadline for the position as Programme Director of the Aarhus 2017 Foundation. The Foundation has received a total of 44 applications. Managing Director of Aarhus 2017 Rebecca Matthews describes the field of applicants as 'incredibly strong'.
A total of 44 candidates for the position as Programme Director of Aarhus 2017, including 26 men and 18 women. Of these, 27 applicants are international and 17 of them Danish. That is the status after the application deadline Tuesday, January 13.
Managing Director of Aarhus 2017 Rebecca Matthews is very pleased with the field of applicants.
"I am very happy with the number of applicants to the position as Programme Director. This figure is higher than last time, and it is an incredibly strong field of applicants with many international and Danish capabilities. It shows that people are very interested in working with Aarhus 2017 both nationally and internationally," says Rebecca Matthews.
The next step in the recruitment phase is initial interviews with selected candidates Tuesday, January 20, followed by final and decisive interviews with the candidates on Tuesday, January 27. Rebecca Matthews explains:

The Programme Director is expected to begin on March 1. When the appointment of the Programme Director is in place, Aarhus 2017 will appoint a Creative Advisor on a part-time contract to complement the Programme Director, as is the case with the interim Programme Directors Ole Wolf and Carsten Holst. Both the Programme Director and the Creative Advisor refer to Rebecca Matthews.
