Last jury member for ’The Sound of Aarhus 2017’ found

Juliana Hodkinson, a composer currently living in Berlin, will be the fifth and final member of the jury for the composing competition ‘The Sound of Aarhus 2017’. The competition is arranged by Aarhus 2017 in close collaboration with the three composer’s associations Danish Jazz, Beat and Folk Authors (DJBFA), the Danish Composer’s Association (DKF) and Danish Popular Authors (DPA).

Juliana Hodkinson works with a focus on electro acoustic formats and the staging of music and sound, recently ordered by MaerzMusik/Scenatet, Klangspuren/Esbjerg Ensemble, SWR and Chamber Made Opera. She has also participated in award-winning collaborations with Konzerthaus Berlin and a number of schools in Berlin.

Juliana Hodkinson has been member of multible boards in Germany and Scandinavia, including Chairman of the Danish Arts Foundation and curator for Spor Festival in 2013.
