The annual Reumert Award Show took place this weekend in Copenhagen. And Aarhus 2017’s collaborating partners at Aarhus Theatre together with the theatre Sort/Hvid were the big winners with 5 awards. The rethinking of Ludvig Holberg’s classic ERASMUS MONTANUS won 3 awards.
The play was awarded for Best Scenic Design (Gehrt & Grarup), Best Performance by a Leading Actor – Andreas Jebro, who you can experience in the lead role as Røde Orm at Moesgaard – and Best Play.
Our partners at Aarhus Theatre also won awards for Best Female Ensemble Performance (Maria Rich in Living Dead) and the Jury’s Special Prize, also for Living Dead, created in collaboration with Sort/Hvid.
We would also like to congratulate Hotel Pro Forma, who won Performance of the Year for the beautiful NEOARCTIC: 12 SONGS. 12 SOUNDSCAPES. 12 LANDSCAPES. 1 PLANET. The stunning visual and auditory performance is part of the official Capital of Culture programme and can be experienced in Filmby Aarhus in November.
