On January 21st 2017, we celebrate the opening of Aarhus and Central Denmark Region’s year as European Capital of Culture.
The opening of the year as the European Capital of Culture 2017 will be one of the biggest socially inclusive and cultural events in the history of Denmark. We are looking for 30 children between the ages of 8-13 to perform in short portrait films to be used as part of the opening ceremony.
How to include your film
On December 3rd and 4th 2016, we have organized an enjoyable workshop under the theme, “What do you hold dear?,” where children will create their own colorful and shining boats, made out of paper. Parents are welcome to join the workshop. The workshop will last about 2,5 hours and take place at Filmbyen 2, 8000, Aarhus C. The workshop is unsalaried, but snacks and refreshments will be served.
To get an invite to the workshop, please send us a short video where you present yourself or your child (duration: approx. 30 seconds) to the caster at VIA Film & transmedia, Mathilde, on: mathilde.noergaard@gmail.com.
Please remember to add a name, age and the phone number of the child and/or the parent. Subsequently, you will receive a notice on whether you have been chosen, and further information on time and place .
Deadline for applications: November 24th 2016
If you have any questions regarding the workshop and/or the use of the films, please contact:
