More information about the film schools:

Super8
Super8 is the leading free film school in Western Denmark. The school was founded in 2000 and is structured as an association, in which the members – that is the film talents – have the responsibility for organizing their courses and thereby have the full power to decide, in which direction, genre, format and methods, they would like to develop their talents. It is the last professionalized in the field.
The members attend the school for 3 years and each member should create three films – one a year. Every year in September, the members’ films should be ready for a collective Super8 premier.
From 2017 onwards, Super8 will consist of five specialisations; director, script writer, producer, film photographer and film editing. The five specialisations will work in teams, that will change from year to year.
Super8 organises the film festival Super8000, which is a part of THE BIG LITTLE FILM FESTIVAL. Super8000 takes place in the cinema “Øst for Paradis”. See the programme here: super8000.dk

The Animation Workshop aims to increase the number and quality of employment and business opportunities in the national and international animation industry through incubation, development, application, and commercialization of innovative technologies and practices.

VIA Film & Transmedia:
VIA Film & Transmedia is an education and research centre, housing the professional bachelor programme Multiplatform Storytelling and Production (MSP). The base of the programme is in one of the strongest film and media centres in Denmark; in the heart of Aarhus Film City. VIA Film & Transmedia benefit from close contact with related industries, from which we invite a large number of industry guests to teach our students. Focusing on filmic storytelling on new media platforms, students are taught how to create a fictitious experience universe from idea to finished product. We work with different genres such as short films, commercials, web films, web docs, video mapping, film installations and music videos.
VIA Film & Transmedia’s international offers include a semester for exchange and study abroad titled “The Fashion Experience – Film and Transmedia Storytelling” and an international summer school titled “Fairy Tale Photography”, both in Aarhus Film City. In collaboration with Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Canada, we also offer a summer school in Vancouver in 2018, titled “Nordic Noir”.
The selected films shown in O Space are made by 1st semester students in our Short Film course taught by Richard Raskin, and fashion films produced on our international semester.

European Film College:
European Film College is more than a film school. It offers one of the world's best and most unique film foundation programmes for young film talents from all over the world. Here the Danish folk high school tradition is combined with intense, hands-on film training, and students get to explore themselves, their talents and their personal way of expression. During 8,5 months they grapple with both direction, acting, screenwriting, sound design, lighting for film, cinematography, editing, documentary and producing. The official language at European Film College is English, and the majority of the students are between 19 and 25 years old and often span 25 different countries at a time. One of the core values at European Film College is to teach students to make relevant, personal and affecting films, that have something in mind and something at stake. All of the selected films have that in common. The selected films are all films from the classes of 2016 and 2017.

Aarhus Film Workshop:
Aarhus Film Workshop supports non-commercial film production, with the main purpose of finding and developing young filmmakers and their interest in film. The Film Workshop offers film equipment, consultants, workshops in filmmaking, residencies and financial support. The film workshop's main task is to support new, young people, interested in film, in their professional and artistic development, with the intention to help them to education or employment in the media industry. Aarhus Film Workshop has close relationships and collaboration with the surrounding production environment, as well as educational and cultural institutions.
