Meet the Makers: Premiere "New Voices Gellerup" // Gellerup Film Workshop

Presented by Central Denmark Region and Aarhus 2017

Gellerup Film Workshop is located in the heart of Gellerup, and offers support for young people in Gellerup and Bispehaven. The workshop allows young people between 18-35 years to develop manuscripts borrow film equipment and gain professional and practical experience in filmmaking.

The users of Gellerup Film Workshop also have the opportunity to use Aarhus Film Workshops offerings within; guidance, consultancy, workshops, talent camps, networking events, equipment and financial support.

Program:
Screening of 5 music videos produced by the users of Gellerup Filmværksted and in collaboration with Rapakademiet (approx. 25 min.).
Screening of 2 short documentaries from Gellerup Filmværksted in collaboration with 365 texts (approx. 20 min.)
Followed by a Talk with project leader Laura Vilsgaard and some of the workshop's users about Gellerup Filmværksted.

The project has received support from Aarhus 2017- European Cultural Capital, Gellerup Kulturmidler and Interkulturalt Center.

Aarhus 2017 and the Central Denmark Region present THE BIG LITTLE FILM FESTIVAL, a weekend of films from talented international and local filmmakers showcasing storytelling, documentary, animation, commercial communication and experimentation. The festival is a rolling programme of short formats telling some of the unique stories of place, examine Danish DNA in satirical fashion, demonstrate aesthetics of difference and methodologies of approach.
