Legendary Perfomance Company Hotel Pro Forma led by Kirsten Dehlholm and the celebrated Latvian Radio Choir reunite to create a visual and musical performance inspired by the catastrophic event of the Anthropocene. NeoArctic is an evocative, poetic, and alarming reflection upon our new geologic epoch, defined by unprecedented human disturbance of the earth’s ecosystems. Humans have now become a ‘force of nature’, causing rapid, often unintended changes to our planet. NeoArctic presents 12 landscapes of music, sound and visuals. 12 singers inhabit a world put into perspective by tangible and intangible phenomena. Words are sung and repeated as evocative soundscapes. Rhythmic music merges with experimental electronic music. Beautiful melodies appear and disappear. Breathtaking scenic landscapes ask: Where did we come from? Where are we going? How far can we go?
