Meet The Maker: Berit Madsen “The Keeper of Small Things”

TALK – ”The Keeper of Small Things”

Presented by Central Denmark Region and Aarhus 2017 
This event will give audience an opportunity to go behind the camera on “The Keeper of Small Things”. The documentary director Berit Madsen will talk about, how it has been working with an Australian director and viewing a piece of Danish culture through her “foreign eyes”. A piece of Danish culture, that is Tove Tendal-Hansen and the museum “Nielstrup Museum”, that she has built in her own home, with more than 10.000 items from Danish folk life and culture. The event will also be about, how the film came into being and how the main character Tove Tendal-Hansen has an important message for us all: Open yours eyes and see all the small things that surround us.
The 92-year old Tove Tendal-Hansen will also be present on stage.

The event will be in Danish. 

This event is a part of THE BIG LITTLE FILM FESTIVAL. 
Aarhus 2017 and the Central Denmark Region present THE BIG LITTLE FILM FESTIVAL, a weekend of films from talented international and local filmmakers showcasing storytelling, documentary, animation, commercial communication and experimentation. The festival is a rolling programme of short formats telling some of the unique stories of place, examine Danish DNA in satirical fashion, demonstrate aesthetics of difference and methodologies of approach.
